What Exactly Is an Aura?

At its core, an aura is a field of electromagnetic energy that radiates from all living things. This energy field changes based on how you’re feeling and what’s going on in your life, making it a dynamic reflection of your inner world.


Why Visualising the Aura Matters

  3. Mental Layer: Governing your thoughts and cognitive processes, this layer reveals your mental clarity or stress.

  4. Astral Layer: Connected to your heart and relationships, this layer reflects your capacity for love and connection.

  5. Etheric Layer: This layer relates to your spiritual development and psychic abilities.

  6. Celestial Layer: The seat of intuition, creativity, and enlightenment.

  7. Causal Layer: The outermost layer, harmonising all others and connecting you to your life’s purpose.


How to Visualise Your Aura

Now that you understand the basic layers, let’s get to the fun part—visualising your own aura. Here are some simple steps to guide you through the process:

  1. Find a Quiet Space: Sit in a calm, relaxed environment where you won’t be disturbed. Dim the lights if possible.

  2. Focus on Your Breath: Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. With each inhale, imagine drawing in pure, positive energy. As you exhale, release any tension or negativity.

  3. Start With Your Hands: Hold your hands about 6 inches apart and slowly move them closer and further away from each other. Can you feel a tingling sensation or warmth? That’s your energy field!

  4. Visualise Your Aura: Now, shift your attention to the space around your body. Imagine a glowing light surrounding you, radiating outward. This is your aura. Don’t worry if you don’t see colours right away—focus on sensing it first.

  5. Notice Colours: Over time, you may begin to see or sense different colours in your aura. Each colour has a unique meaning. For example, red often signifies strength and vitality, while blue is linked to calm and intuition.


What the Colours of Your Aura Mean

Your aura’s colours can give you insights into your current state of being. Here are some common colour’s and their meanings:

  • Red: Vitality, passion, physical strength.

  • Orange: Creativity, joy, emotional warmth.

  • Yellow: Personal power, confidence, clarity of thought.

  • Green: Healing, compassion, love.

  • Blue: Intuition, communication, peace.

  • Purple: Spirituality, wisdom, higher consciousness.

  • White: Purity, protection, divine connection.


Techniques to Cleanse and Strengthen Your Aura

Just like your physical body, your aura needs regular care. Here are some practices to keep your energy field clear and vibrant:

  1. Meditation: Regular meditation can help you clear out negative energy and strengthen your aura.

  2. Crystals: Using crystals like clear quartz or amethyst can help cleanse and recharge your aura.

  3. Smudging: Burn sage or other cleansing herbs to purify your energy field.
